Government Archives are no strangers to this trend and have the obligation to preserve all types of materials, whether they have control over them or not, since this information is also generated by external Agencies and they need to safeguard it as soon as possible.

Providing tools to government records managers to take control over the entire flow of data from the origin (ingestion) to the end (dissemination) and optimize digital preservation processes has been the obsession of LIBNOVA in recent years, so that government records managers may control the entire lifecycle of digital information.

In this presentation, in addition to learning about LIBNOVA’s services, we will discuss how it is possible to create a digital preservation workflow that allows States Archives to command the digital flood: receiving directly the digital information in a protected form from the source (sent by State Government Agencies through Submission Areas), organizing and structuring the data within the system and then deciding what information to make accessible to the public through the dissemination module.
